About the role
The Excellerate Commissioning Superintendent is responsible for delivery of commissioning services including coordination and implementation of the Commissioning Plan, LOTO plan, job site quality auditing, conducting on-site/job site coaching, and conducting training to enhance job site performance as a means to foster a culture of quality and commissioning that permeates our services throughout the organization.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10+ years of field experience, including not less than 5 years of successful experience as a project superintendent
- 50% travel required
Schedule
- Works between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday
- Schedule may vary and can include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Overtime may be required
Responsibilities
- Provide integration consultation to the site client team
- Facilitate issue resolution through communication with site team and FTI teams
- Participate in various cross-functional teams internally and externally to continually develop and refine organizational processes related to job site quality
- Provide guidance to field employees, project supervisors, and management on matters concerning job site quality
- Provide valid statistical information and applicable analyses to the Commissioning Manager regarding job site quality
- Conduct job site or on-site coaching and development of employees (related to audits and/or to assist with novel work or jobs in crisis)
- Perform project expectations review (a review of key essential planning elements that support project success) with project leadership and provide feedback, recommended corrective actions to the Project Managers, work crew members, key management leadership personnel, and support functions (i.e., Safety, Purchasing, Preconstruction Services, Engineering, Estimating, Productivity Group, Excellerate, ERM)
- Define work to be done; clearly communicate vision, objectives, and tasks to appropriate individuals
- Delegate tasks to appropriate parties; clearly communicate needs and expectations
- Measure and monitor the work of individual direct reports and/or collective team/taskforce team(s)
- Coach and motivate direct reports/appropriate individuals to effectively perform; remove barriers to success and provide feedback, necessary resources, and open communication
- Provide support to coordinate and develop project-specific commissioning schedule
- Provide support to develop project-specific lockout-tagout (LOTO) safety plan
- Actively participate in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
