About the Role

Henderson Building Solutions is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to join our team in Denver, Colorado. This role is responsible for the overall management, supervision, and in some cases, execution of assigned building system commissioning projects, ensuring they are completed within established budgets and time frames.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of commissioning projects, adhering to company project management standards, expectations, and quality metrics.
• Manage proposals, contracts, and project commissioning schedules.
• Coordinate and maintain commissioning deliverables and project-related documents.
• Manage client service and communication, ensuring satisfaction with the project process and engineering work product.
• Create, monitor, and adhere to project budgets and financials.
• Lead and direct others in the commissioning process, including owner’s representatives, general contractors, and design team members.
• Serve as a third-party commissioning representative responsible for project success for the client/end user.
• Interface with design teams to assist in meeting established project goals.
• Execute building commissioning and retro-commissioning tasks on projects.
• Mentor, coach, and supervise Commissioning Agents, Technicians, and project/program team members.
• Make recommendations to leadership to align training, development, and mentoring of staff.
• Resolve project conflicts, balancing the interests of internal and external stakeholders.
• Serve as a brand ambassador and primary project/program contact.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Partner with Sector and Practice leadership to support business development strategies.
• Resolve project-related conflicts and respond to client requests and questions.
• Direct business development efforts in relation to Building Solutions across sectors.
• Monitor and ensure project quality expectations are met.
• Develop scope of work and fees to mitigate risk throughout the project life cycle.
• Provide technical insight on project production when applicable.

Requirements

• Eight (8) years of experience in MEPF Engineering, Commissioning, or Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) required; twelve (12) years of relevant experience required without a degree.
• Basic proficiency in project management standards and project execution.
• Fundamental understanding of building design and construction principles for successful commissioning project execution.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies described in this job description.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Construction Engineering/Management.
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Industry-specific certifications such as ASHRAE, ACG, and/or NEBB.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to climb up and down an 8-foot ladder.
• Ability to carry up to 25 lbs.
• Travel required up to 25% of the time.

Pay

Denver Salary Range: $96,800 - $145,200. Individual salaries may vary based on geographic cost of labor and other factors unrelated to the applicant’s race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ethnicity, age, or disability.
