Commissioning Project Engineer, AMER-East ACx

About the role

The role of a Commissioning Project Engineer (CxPE) involves supporting the delivery of data center capacity through managing project milestone auditing, calibration, and commissioning execution for new construction and Capital Improvement Projects (CIPP). This position is part of a career development program aimed at developing the CxPE into a Commissioning Engineer (CxE) through a three-phase mentoring program.

Responsibilities

• Develop a detailed understanding of AWS critical infrastructure.
• Learn the fundamentals related to managing a commissioning project within AWS.
• Work with different team members to introduce you to internal project management tools.
• Participate in on-site commissioning activities.
• Support the Lead Commissioning Engineers (CxE) with managing a project from beginning to end.
• Manage the creation of projects within internal Amazon systems.
• Manage administrative tasks related to the commissioning process.
• Support the Request for Quote process, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for the commissioning vendors to provide a detailed quote.
• Manage the required vendor project deliverables ensuring on-time delivery for the CxE's review.
• Manage project resourcing ensuring all vendors comply with the Leads Qualification Process (LQP).
• Create and manage the approval of the Change Management requests for the commissioning activities of the assigned project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or 1+ years of relevant discipline work experience.
• 1+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Qualified trades personnel in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline.

Qualifications

Skills

• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and commissioning processes.
• Experience with commissioning and startup of electrical and mechanical systems.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $96,000.00 - $166,300.00 annually.
