About the role
L. F. Driscoll, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Traveling Commissioning Manager to support mission-critical projects. This role involves planning, coordinating, executing, and overseeing commissioning activities for MEP systems, with a focus on LEED Enhanced Commissioning and Building Envelope commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Review project documentation, including plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans and documentation, including schedules.
- Oversee daily commissioning activities on the project site.
- Lead, support, and facilitate commissioning activities as the CX Leader on the project.
- Mentor and coach junior-level staff on the commissioning process.
- Manage the commissioning schedule and coordinate support from Field Superintendents, QA/QC staff, and CX Engineers.
- Coordinate with the Operations Team and Project Management team on schedule, budget, training, and issues.
- Inspect and test equipment and systems to ensure compliance with safety policies and project requirements.
- Coordinate equipment and material deliveries with vendors and subcontractors.
- Perform pre-commissioning and start-up inspections to confirm readiness for commissioning activities.
- Audit commissioning paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate commissioning activities and required team/vendor onsite days.
- Provide updates and reports on commissioning issues to relevant parties in a timely manner.
- Prepare for the transition to the client after final inspections and commissioning processes are complete.
- Manage the observations/issues log and track through closure.
- Perform integrated system testing and compile results.
- Other duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- 6-10 years of experience in construction, commissioning, start-up, and operations on large-scale projects.
- CX certification is a plus.
- Data Center Commissioning experience is a plus.
- Building Automation Systems (Controls) experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Commissioning software (CxAlloy, Nexus) is a plus.
- Proficient in creating, reviewing, and presenting reports regarding commissioning activities.
- Experience developing plans and processing relating to commissioning for large-scale construction projects.

Pay
In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
