Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks
- Lead all commissioning, startup, testing, and turnover activities from project planning through final client acceptance.
- Develop and manage project commissioning plans, schedules, procedures, and execution strategies.
- Cookordination commissioning activities with Project Management, QA/QC, Safety, Field Operations, Energy Marshals, Vendors, and Client Representatives.
- Establish commissioning milestones and monitor progress to ensure alignment with project schedules.
- Manage pre-functional and functional testing of electrical systems and equipment.
- Oversee system startup activities, troubleshooting efforts, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate vendor support and manufacturer representatives during commissioning activities.
- Review and approve commissioning documentation, test reports, turnover packages, and project closeout deliverables.
- Facilitate commissioning meetings, system walkdowns, punch list reviews, and turnover activities.
- Track deficiencies and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, commissioning standards, client requirements, and safety protocols.
- Support energization planning and coordinate closely with Energy Marshals during energized work activities.
- Provide regular progress updates and reporting to project leadership and clients.
- Manage project commissioning resources and personnel to support successful project execution.
- Lead final system acceptance activities and turnover to owners and facility operations teams.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in electrical construction, commissioning, operations, testing, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of commissioning leadership or management experience preferred.
- Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial construction projects required.
- Experience managing commissioning teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of electrical commissioning, startup, energization, and turnover processes.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- NFPA 70E training preferred.
- Electrical Journeyman license, engineering background, or equivalent technical experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel to project sites and support extended commissioning schedules as required.
- Advanced knowledge of commissioning, startup, testing, and turnover processes.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, transformers, and mission-critical infrastructure.
- Knowledge of commissioning standards, quality processes, and project controls.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
