Responsibilities
- Familiar with the design and operations of reciprocating compressors and internal combustion engines, their sub-assemblies and supporting infrastructure.
- Able to operate exhaust stack emissions monitoring equipment and perform data analysis using Microsoft Excel and similar software packages.
- Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers during project execution and willing to support cross-functional teams.
- Possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Possess a strong desire to learn, investigate, and provide technical solutions to upgrade engine equipment for emissions improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Education and Experience: An Engineering Degree, Trade School Training, or a Technical School graduate with an in-depth technical aptitude on engines and engine tuning.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong technical expertise in engines, engine tuning, and upgrades, including understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to engines, engine tuning, and upgrades. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, software, and equipment to troubleshoot and repair engine systems. Analytical mindset to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
- Commissioning Experience: Prior experience in commissioning engines or other mechanical systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with commissioning procedures, protocols, and documentation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders. Ability to prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety regulations and protocols related to commissioning and working with engines. Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. Willingness to travel to client sites as needed for commissioning activities.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify and resolve technical issues and challenges that may arise during commissioning activities.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate and precise commissioning and calibration of engines and engine systems.
- Professionalism: Professional demeanor with a customer service-oriented approach. Ability to represent the company in a professional manner with clients and stakeholders.
