About the Role

The Commissioning Engineer Lead ensures modular data centers are installed, tested, and fully operational according to design specifications and client requirements. This role oversees the commissioning process from factory testing through site deployment, including integration of electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning Planning & Execution
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure readiness.
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• System Testing & Validation
  • Conduct functional testing of electrical systems (UPS, switchgear, generators), HVAC, fire suppression, and monitoring systems.
  • Validate integration of IT infrastructure and network systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning.
• Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain detailed commissioning records, test results, and punch lists.
  • Prepare final commissioning reports and handover documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
• Quality & Safety
  • Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments and mitigation planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in commissioning, preferably in data centers or critical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of modular construction and prefabricated systems.
• Familiarity with BMS, EPMS, and other monitoring/control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to deployment sites as needed.

Pay

For this U.S.-based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This range includes base pay and short-term incentives. Individual pay is determined by factors such as performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
