About the role
Securitas Technology is a world-leading provider of integrated security solutions that protect, connect, and optimize businesses. As a Commissioning Specialist, you will provide and coordinate the installation of electrical control and automation systems for security solutions. You will lead commissioning responsibilities, finalize system delivery, and interface with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects meet established targets. This role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously and working closely with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Complete system startups independently and take ownership of assigned projects.
- Verify the quality of designs and software for security systems.
- Manage subcontractors on large projects and coordinate activities with internal and external parties.
- Direct communications with customers, subcontractors, and internal resources.
- Coordinate multiple simultaneous projects and perform minor software adjustments as needed.
- Assist with prototyping projects and provide training on implemented control systems.
- Create Operations & Maintenance (O&M) documents upon project completion.
- Maintain positive budgets on assigned project functions with minimal supervision.
- Perform all work in compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist with projects outside of current assignments as needed.
- Travel up to 75% of the time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree preferred, or 4-6 years of commissioning experience in control systems without a degree.
- Skills or experience with personal computers, including email, scheduling, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of networks and networking, as well as current and past Windows OS.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suites.
- Knowledge of PC configuration and peripherals.
- Ability to creatively solve uncommon application challenges.
- Valid state driver’s license without restrictions.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Customer service orientation and desire to work in a hands-on environment.
