Engineer I

Job Responsibilities

• Creating a safe work environment by putting safety first
• Understanding the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance
• Understanding the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance
• Understanding design practices and work processes
• Using all software applications used in designs
• S Supporting design standard and criteria development for the systems
• S Supporting construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations
• Estimating material for projects
• Transmitting construction packages and supporting specifications

Skills and Expertise Required

• Introductory engineering knowledge
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Limited discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisor
• Basic discipline software knowledge
• Strong work ethic
• A positive attitude
• The ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and/or vendors

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of required CAD Experience
• Required experience with site walk downs
• Marking up and updating mechanical drawings (P&IDs)
