Commissioning Engineer, Data Centers

For our client, we are seeking a Commissioning Engineer, Data Centers to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will focus on commissioning execution for large-scale data center projects, with responsibility for validating electrical, mechanical, and controls systems from installation through operational readiness. The ideal candidate will partner closely with project teams, stakeholders, and field personnel to keep commissioning activities on track, resolve equipment issues, and ensure systems perform as designed. This is a highly hands-on role that requires strong documentation, testing, and coordination skills in a fast-paced construction and engineering environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 annually Responsibilities Apply commissioning processes in accordance with ASHRAE guidelines across all project phases Lead installation oversight and system validation activities Collaborate with stakeholders to support seamless project execution Troubleshoot and document equipment issues, coordinating resolutions as needed Manage multiple commissioning activities while maintaining clear stakeholder communications Develop and review commissioning test scripts and SOPs for data centers Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure operational readiness Qualifications 5-7 years of experience in relevant engineering or field-testing roles 3-5 years of third-party commissioning experience for data centers Experience with electrical, mechanical, and controls commissioning on large data center projects Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for data management Hands-on experience with testing meters and equipment relevant to commissioning Benefits 401(k) plan with matching contributions Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision care Paid parental leave at full salary Paid time off and company holidays Early access to earned wages through Daily Pay Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
