Responsibilities

  • Support vendors, contractors, and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems such as: Medium and low voltage power systems, Generators, UPS, HVAC (Air Handlers / Exhaust Fans / VFD), Chilled Water Systems, Building Management systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Testing and balancing, Pumps and Hydronic systems.
  • Provide testing and validation oversight of AWS data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Review design documents and equipment submittals, leading Factory Witness Testing (FWT).
  • Manage third-party commissioning vendors in the performance of onsite pre-functional, functional, and integrated systems testing.
  • Own projects' successes by deep diving to resolve technical issues and having a bias for action to address schedule impacts and coordination demands onsite.
  • Share lessons learned leading towards team growth and program improvements.
  • Provide multi-discipline input into the scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects.
  • Continuously audit Cx vendors' activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Regularly report commissioning progress and metrics of assigned projects to your Regional Commissioning Manager using AWS project reporting format.
  • Manage project budgets as approved by Finance.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to 25% of the year.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
