Commissioning Director - Data Center/Mission Critical Construction
About the role
The Quality & Commissioning Director will help shape and lead Boldt’s commissioning program within the growing data center market. This role involves serving as a connector and collaborator, guiding commissioning strategies, and building a scalable program that reflects Boldt’s partnership approach.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a connector and collaborator, bringing together engineers, trade partners, owners, and commissioning agents to ensure alignment and shared accountability across mission-critical MEP systems.
- Guide commissioning strategies with a focus on transparency, coordination, and trust, helping teams navigate complexity while maintaining a strong commitment to quality, safety, and seamless system turnover.
- Play a key role in building a scalable program that reflects how Boldt partners across projects and regions.
- Develop, write, and execute detailed Commissioning Scripts with project stakeholders.
- Direct the process of Issue Identification and drive Resolution Management.
- Apply innovative management techniques to inspire and empower teams to produce desired results.
- Make excellent decisions and solve problems effectively.
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.
- At least ten years of experience in Critical Systems Commissioning with a focus on data center construction.
- Experience to include completions verifications, startup management, script development, and adherence to an Energy Marshall program.
- Ability to develop, write, and execute detailed Commissioning Scripts with project stakeholders.
- 75-100% domestic travel is required.
- Ability to direct the process of Issue Identification and drive Resolution Management.
- Ability to apply innovative management techniques to inspire and empower teams to produce desired results.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ten or more years of experience in Critical Systems Commissioning with a focus on data center construction.
- Experience to include completions verifications, startup management, script development, and adherence to an Energy Marshall program.
- Ability to develop, write, and execute detailed Commissioning Scripts with project stakeholders.
- 75-100% domestic travel is required.

Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with different commissioning platforms such as CxAlloy.
- Experience integrating commissioning into large-scale program delivery.
- Background in developing training or commissioning playbooks.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position is $225,000 - $275,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted according to individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
