Commissioning Area Manager, AMER-Central ACx

About the role

The Cx Manager is responsible for managing a team of Commissioning Engineers (CxE), who run commissioning projects by coordinating with vendors, contractors, and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems such as: Medium and low voltage power systems, Generators, UPS, HVAC (Air Handlers / Exhaust Fans / VFD), Chilled Water Systems - Building Management systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Testing and balancing, Pumps and Hydronic systems. The Cx Manager ensures all projects in their assigned area are appropriately staffed, delivered on time and achieve bar-raising quality. They occasionally provide multi-discipline input into the scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects. In addition, they review component submittal packages, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), perform system level and integrated system testing. During commissioning, the Cx Manager audits activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. They also prepare comprehensive weekly reports of project status and lessons learned to continually improve the quality of the program.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Commissioning Engineers (CxE)
• Ensure projects are appropriately staffed, delivered on time, and achieve high quality
• Occasionally provide multi-discipline input into project scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning
• Review component submittal packages, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), perform system level and integrated system testing
• Audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements
• Prepare comprehensive weekly reports of project status and lessons learned
• Occasionally cover multiple inflight projects and fast-paced timelines

Requirements

• Experience in Critical Infrastructure Commissioning Management
• Experience managing and leading employees
• Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical or mechanical engineering, or 5+ years of relevant discipline work experience
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities

Skills

• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to read, interpret, and create construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
• Experience with commissioning and testing of various systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

$136,000.00 - $184,000.00 USD annually

Schedule

Full-time, occasional travel (up to 50%)
