Commissioning Analyst
Job Responsibilities
Participate in project design, planning, installation, startup, commissioning, and turnover.
Create detailed commissioning plans, checklists, and schedules for HVAC and mechanical systems.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, design drawings, submittals, code and other industry standards.
Liaison with personnel performing installation, startup, and commissioning of HVAC and mechanical systems. Interface between site personnel, project management, and client stakeholders.
Ensure all equipment is installed and operating according to design specifications, manufacturers and guidelines, and industry standards.
Collaborate with design engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure commissioning activities are integrated into the overall project timeline.
Participate in project meetings to coordinate work and resolve any issues related to system performance and commissioning.
Witness system testing and performance verification to ensure all HVAC and mechanical systems meet performance criteria for efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Documentation and Reporting
Prepare comprehensive commissioning documentation, including functional performance tests, commissioning reports, and as-built documentation.
Track and record all commissioning activities and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution
Identify, investigate, and resolve issues with HVAC and mechanical systems during commissioning.
Coordinate corrective actions with in-house personnel, contractors, and suppliers to resolve any deficiencies or equipment malfunctions.
Equipment Training and Project Handover
Assist in providing training to building operators and maintenance staff on the operation and maintenance of HVAC and mechanical systems as required by project specifications.
Ensure that all operational manuals, warranties, and maintenance documentation are provided to the client at handover.
Required Knowledge, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation and reports.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work on construction sites and collaborate with teams in various environments.
Availability to travel to various project locations as needed.
