About the role

The Opportunity Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join our world-class Commissioning Team in Los Angeles, CA. Position Summary

Commissioning is a quality assurance process that is invaluable to building and infrastructure owners, ensuring that systems and components are installed and operate as intended. This role will give you a chance to experience work both in the office and in the field with hands-on testing of a range of systems improving building performance, energy efficiency, reliability, and occupant comfort.

Essential Job Functions

  • Developing and maintaining pre-functional and functional checklists.

  • Conducting field functional testing and performing on-site observations.

  • Leading commissioning meetings and managing the overall commissioning process.

  • Documenting test results, tracking issues in the resolution log, and preparing comprehensive commissioning reports.

  • Supporting project management tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering or a related field, or related industry experience.

  • 2-5 years of related industry experience desired.

  • Technical knowledge of MEP system design and operation, controls, and instrumentation background.

  • Proficiency in client-facing/client relationship/client management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Able to climb ladders/stairs and to lift and carry loads above 20 lbs.

  • Able to be on a job site for extended periods (8-10 hours).

Preferred Qualifications

  • EIT license, Commissioning, Energy Management, or TAB certifications a plus.

  • Experience with commissioning software or ongoing commissioning tools is a plus.

  • Experience with mechanical and/or controls is a plus.

  • Mission-critical, Life Science experience is a plus.

  • Electrical Experience is a plus.

This position will require travel as needed. Vehicle transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance.

Work Environment and Location

This position requires regular travel to project sites. Our hybrid work environment requires two in-office and/or on-site days per week. All candidates must be located in and eligible to work in the U.S.

Career Path

Compensation Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience)
