About the role

As a Commissioning Agent - Data Center in our Houston office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve commissioning challenges and complete tasks assigned, including developing and implementing the Level 1 – 5 commissioning process delivery set forth in Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), plans and specifications.
  • Oversee and execute the quality observation and testing in the field.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of commissioning experience for data center or mission critical facilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline or equivalent; a combination of education, technical training, and relevant field experience will also be considered.
  • A general understanding of building systems across all design disciplines.
  • A more detailed understanding of power distribution, cooling systems, and controls desired.
  • An understanding of applicable design codes, design standards and specification requirements, and ability to interpret them.
  • Able to work with a high degree of independence without the need for oversight or mentoring.
  • Fundamental knowledge of commissioning process and commissioning process delivery.
  • Ability to become proficient with software programs for business as well as could-based commissioning and construction: Microsoft Word, Excel, CxAlloy, Autodesk BIM360, ACCBuild, and similar.
  • Able to travel as required by the project 75%+.
  • Willingness to become OSHA certified.
  • Valid driver’s license and state required vehicle insurance.

Qualifications

  • Effective skills to help you flourish, including direct positive communication with Owners, Contractors, and Engineers, a problem-solving productive mentality in a non-adversarial environment, ability to apply safety training to specific construction situations and avoid unsafe work environments, ability to understand and safely use test and measurement equipment and common tools, effective working individually and within team environments.
