About the Project
The Mississippi Department of Transportation has commissioned Duvall Decker to design the Commissioner Dick Hall Hospitality Station, a modern, expanded welcome center replacing the existing outdated visitor center on the I-20 Vicksburg Bridge. This 14,000-square-foot facility will serve over 11,000 daily travelers, embodying the spirit of "welcoming" as a tranquil rest stop for weary visitors.
The Hospitality Station will feature exhibitions and information on the history of the Mississippi River, Vicksburg, and the State of Mississippi, along with a rare and prominent overlook of the Mississippi River and the Vicksburg bridges.
