Commissioned Driver Helper (Permanent/Full-Time)
About the role
Labatt Food Service is hiring a Driver Helper at the Houston location. As a Driver Helper, your goal is to progress to a local Route Driver. The program requires one year as a Driver Helper, assisting with the delivery of up to 1,400 cases by hand daily. After obtaining a Class A CDL, you will be promoted to Student Driver for up to 6 months to learn how to drive our state-of-the-art trucks. Following this, you will advance to Route Driver with opportunities for further career growth within the company.
Labatt operates in a high-intensity, high-transaction logistics environment, supplying 14,000 items to food-away-from-home customers in Texas and New Mexico from 5 distribution centers.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, with dispatch times between 2:00 am and 5:00 am (10-12 hour shift). Home every night and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery of up to 1,400 cases by hand daily.
- Prepare for and obtain a Class A CDL with company-provided training.
- Progress through the Driver Program to become a Student Driver and eventually a Route Driver.
Requirements
- Valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
- Proof of employment eligibility to work in the United States.
- Pass pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical.

Pay
Average $700 - $760 weekly for commissioned drivers.

Labatt’s trucks are equipped with the latest safety technology, including adaptive braking and collision mitigation, lane departure warnings, and tire pressure monitoring on all tires. All trucks are new with automatic transmissions for a smooth ride.
