Labatt Food Service is now hiring for a Driver Helper at the Houston location. Labatt Food Service offers stability with long term, full-time employment. Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, Labatt is the tenth largest food service distributor in the nation, operating five distribution centers that supply 14,000 items to food-away-from-home customers in Texas and New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of up to 1,400 cases by hand daily
• Support local Route Drivers in a high-intensity, high-transaction logistics environment

Career path

This role is the first step in Labatt’s Driver Program, which can lead to becoming a Route Driver:

• One year as a Driver Helper
• Paid training to obtain a Class A CDL
• Promotion to Student Driver for up to six months of training
• Advancement to Route Driver with opportunities for ongoing career growth

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Dispatch times between 2:00 am and 5:00 am
• 10–12 hour shifts

Equipment and safety

• State-of-the-art trucks with automatic transmissions
• Latest safety technology including adaptive braking and collision mitigation, lane departure warnings, and tire pressure monitoring on all tires
• All trucks are new

Requirements

• Valid Texas Class C driver’s license
• Proof of employment eligibility to work in the United States
• Pass pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical

Pay

Average $700 – $760 weekly
