Commissary Supervisor
About the role
The Commissary Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of commissary production during their shifts. You'll be a leader for your team. This is your production area and your team. You'll lead by example and hold all pastry team members accountable for their performance and product output, and do so through our Values ("VIBES").
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of commissary production
- Build the company's expertise in food quality and safety standards by ensuring all team members are following safety, sanitation and cleanliness policies.
- Create a safe and fun working environment for all employees
- Lead by example and hold all pastry team members accountable for their performance and product output
- Support Call Your Mother's high operational standards by continuing to hold yourself and your team members to the provided checklists, recipe specs, and other standardized tools
- Work with other supervisors and managers to create an efficient work environment
- Manage and monitor quality to minimize waste and always be looking for ways to improve our products
- Manage production schedule to support shop needs and timelines
- Share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve product quality and kitchen efficiency
- Maintain effective relationships with all commissary managers and team members
Requirements
- 2+ years experience as a baker or prep cook in a food production space
- 1+ year experience as manager in a food production space
- Time management skills to deliver quality products on schedule
- Flexibility – proactively manage your schedule to support the needs of the business, which can include weekends, holidays, evenings, and potential overnight shifts
- Outstanding leadership skills and ability to motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and passion for food required
- A hands on management style and are willing to lead by example
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills

We provide a starting wage of $21.29/hour as a Supervisor. With tips, your Supervisor pay is likely to range from $25-28/hour. When not working Supervisor shifts, your Kitchen Team Member starting wage is $19.29, and with tips your pay is likely to range from $23-26/hour.
