Commerical Plumbing Inspector

About the role

SAFEbuilt is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Building Official. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building codes and regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Inspect construction sites to ensure adherence to approved plans and safety standards.
• Issue permits and maintain accurate records of all issued permits.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with approved plans and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and training to contractors and other stakeholders.
• Respond to inquiries from the public and other agencies regarding building code compliance.
• Participate in code enforcement activities and investigations as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building inspection or related field.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

$80,000 - $90,000 annually
