Commercial Underwriting Manager - Hybrid (Tampa or Orlando)

For our client, we are seeking a Commercial Underwriting Manager - Hybrid (Tampa or Orlando) to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will oversee underwriting operations for title and settlement services, ensuring sound decision-making, consistent standards, and strong support for internal teams, agents, and customers. The manager will lead daily team activities while contributing to broader planning and operational decisions. This position also plays a key role in coaching talent, improving performance, and guiding complex project work in a highly regulated real estate environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $117,500 – $156,700 annually Responsibilities Manage daily activities of the underwriting team and title personnel Provide underwriting support to internal personnel, agents, and customers Apply standards and guidelines for title insurance issuance Guide the performance of real estate settlement services Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to team members Participate in long-range planning and operational decision-making Oversee project reviews and approve detailed project designs Qualifications Juris Doctor preferred; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 5-7 years of direct experience in the title industry 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience preferred Proven success in designing and executing complex projects Ability to build effective working relationships across business units Strong influencing and negotiation skills Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and paid sick leave Employee stock purchase plan Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
