Commercial Truck Technician

Shrader Tire & Oil is seeking a Commercial Truck Technician to maintain and repair commercial fleet vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability for our customers. As a family-owned company with over 75 years of experience, we specialize in commercial fleet maintenance, premium tires, retreads, and bulk oil distribution across the Midwest. Responsibilities

• Maintain Shrader Tire & Oil’s standard of professionalism and customer service.
• Determine truck/trailer condition through inspection, diagnostic testing, and identifying worn or damaged parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work, ensuring compliance with Federal and state vehicle repair requirements.
• Maintain accurate vehicle inspection reports and maintenance records.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certification from Diesel Mechanic School or 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools, including hand tools, impact guns, and other pneumatic tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively, twist, push/pull, bend, squat, climb, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive a commercial pickup truck (e.g., F250 or F350).
• Consistently maintain a 70% efficiency rating in mechanics.

Pay

• Competitive base wage starting at $25/hour.
• Bonus opportunity tied to 70% efficiency.
• Paid weekly.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Overtime as needed.
