Responsibilities
- Provide theory, range, and driving instruction to students
- Inspect and maintain school vehicles and equipment
- Maintain student training records
- Ensure students adhere to Trident Technical College’s CDL safety guidelines
Requirements
- Associate degree in Transportation Management, Business Technology, or a closely related field plus a minimum of three (3) years of truck driving experience or
- High school diploma plus five (5) years of proven behind-the-wheel truck driving experience, including training and assisting students in developing skills necessary to obtain a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Valid South Carolina Commercial Driver’s License with all necessary endorsements for the motor vehicle equipment being operated
- Ability to function in an environment with continual changes in information technology
- Ability to lift 100 pounds, carry 50 pounds, stoop, kneel, crawl, continuously walk, and stand
Schedule
Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, off-site curriculum, and continuing education courses.
