Commercial Trials & Litigation Associate
About the role
Steptoe LLP seeks an associate with 2–4 years of commercial litigation experience to join the Firm's Commercial Trials & Litigation practice group in our Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex commercial disputes and be ready to assume significant responsibility in managing matters. This role offers meaningful opportunities to work directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of commercial litigation experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the California Bar in active good standing
- Excellent academic credentials
- Superior writing and analytical skills
Qualifications
- Experience handling complex commercial disputes
- Ready to assume significant responsibility in managing matters
- Judicial clerkship experience strongly preferred

Pay
Anticipated salary range: $235,000 to $310,000. Actual base salary offered will depend on the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
