About the role
Responsible for underwriting commercial title insurance policies, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze title abstracts and documents to identify potential risks.
- Prepare and issue title insurance policies to protect buyers and sellers in real estate transactions.
- Communicate with clients and agents to resolve title issues and provide guidance on legal matters.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting title insurance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law, real estate, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in title insurance underwriting.
- Knowledge of state and federal title insurance laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with title insurance software systems.
