About the role
This position is based onsite at our flagship metals plant in Cannon-Muskegon (West Michigan). Rich relocation support is available for non-local candidates. Occasional travel may be required for customer visits and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Perpetuate sales bookings through direct contact and technical liaison with customers.
- Manage day-to-day customer communication and ongoing relationships related to current, new, and upcoming orders.
- Develop new accounts and markets.
- Report on industry and market trends to Sales and senior leadership.
- Maintain and control inventory levels for finished goods as directed by management.
- Track and expedite production orders.
- Assist accounting with collections.
- Perform order entry and understand guidelines of contract review.
- Interface between customers and Manufacturing/Technology concerning specification and technical capability.
- Monitor sales metrics and provide regular sales forecasts for assigned account base.
- Develop interaction of the technical and metallurgical services group with customers.
- Visit clients, attend trade shows, and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities (15% travel required).
- Occasionally work extra hours to ensure timely achievement of deliverables.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of technical-related sales experience, preferably in the alloy or aerospace industries.
- Familiarity with technical aspects of CM alloys and concepts of manufacturing processes preferred.
- Proof of US citizenship, nationality, and/or permanent resident status to comply with export and import laws and regulations.

Physical Demands
- Frequently required to remain in a stationary position.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (calculator, copy machine, printer).
- Occasionally perform work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to high noise levels and heat.
