Commercial Surety Underwriter - East Region

Responsibilities

• Execute on the established strategic business plan in order to maintain and expand Allianz Trade’s Surety business in the United States, working with the Regional Surety Manager.
• Develop and underwrite a profitable portfolio of Surety business through active engagement in the Surety marketplace with existing and new broker relationships in the local market.
• Document all decisions and recommendations in a consistent and transparent manner.
• Conduct account and portfolio underwriting activities in a manner consistent with underwriting guidelines and portfolio management requirements established by Allianz Trade.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Americas and internationally to fully leverage surety capabilities and existing customer base.
• Attend industry groups and local surety events, as requested by the Regional Manager.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of industry experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in surety in the U.S. local market.
• Entrepreneurial skill set to establish and achieve goals and objectives.
• Established track record developing business with brokers.
• 4-year college degree with emphasis in business, economics, or finance.
• Basic awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and enthusiasm for learning and integrating AI into everyday business processes.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to underwrite and grow a Surety portfolio.
• Strong relationships with local brokers.
• Recognized expertise in the underwriting of surety accounts and risks.
• Proven track record of successful underwriting results.

Pay

Total Compensation Range: $80,000–$120,000. Placement within this range is based on the individual’s relevant experience, skills for the role, and location.
