Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all on-site construction activities.
- Ensure required materials, equipment, inspections, and resources are available to support the project schedule.
- Maintain overall jobsite safety and ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations.
- Manage field personnel, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and other project resources.
- Aid with budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Prepare work plans and coordinate temporary project facilities.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, manufacturer data, and construction documents.
- Review construction documents for completeness, accuracy, and constructability.
- Develop and manage 2-3 week look-ahead schedules.
- Prepare and submit RFIs to address discrepancies or missing information.
- Review submittals for compliance with project plans, specifications, manufacturer recommendations, codes, and applicable standards.
- Work with the project team to maintain and enforce the company's quality control program.
- Conduct on-site project meetings with subcontractors and construction trade leaders.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and all work performed on-site.
- Supervise foremen and field crews, ensuring they have the resources and information needed to perform efficiently.
- Conduct performance evaluations of subcontractors.
- Conduct weekly on-site safety meetings and complete required safety documentation.
- Manage site logistics, deliveries, materials, equipment, and overall site organization.
- Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects moving according to schedule.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven leadership experience as a Traveling Commercial Superintendent.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and field operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, foremen, and field personnel.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Experience managing project schedules and look-ahead schedules.
- Strong knowledge of jobsite safety and quality control practices.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Experience With Procore, Microsoft Excel, And Microsoft Word (preferred).
- Valid driver's license. Insurable driving record.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with project teams, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
