Average salary: $90,000 - $160,000 per year

A bit about us: Mountain States GC (self perform) that has been operating and servicing the local communities since 1928. We have offices in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona and work in 22 states. Commercial, Bridge, Aviation, Healthcare, Hospitality, concrete , corrections, Education, Industrial and Transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all on-site construction activities, from initial groundwork to final inspection, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Cooking and supervising the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and other project team members.
  • Implementing and enforcing safety protocols in accordance with OHSA 10-HR guidelines, ensuring a safe and secure working environment for all team members.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed project documentation, including progress reports, site logs, and safety records.
  • Guiding the self-perform work teams and ensuring the quality of their work.

Qualifications

  • Built in Wyoming or currently live there.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent in the construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.
  • Extensive experience in a variety of sectors, including healthcare, aviation, hospitality, and K-12 education. Experience in detention center construction will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete work and other construction methods and materials.
  • Proficiency in managing field operations and self-perform work teams.
  • A solid understanding of OHSA 10-HR safety guidelines and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety on the job site.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to perform at their best.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
