HybridBusiness Development$161k–$215k/yrFull-time

About the role

Grow Therapy works with most of the largest health plans in the country. As those relationships have matured, the focus has shifted from whether a plan works with us to what we should build together. This role owns a focused set of key relationships end-to-end: deciding what to build with each plan, designing the structure, negotiating it, and staying with it once live. The work runs on a multi-year horizon, involving close collaboration with health plans’ senior executives and Grow’s leadership to drive the company's strategy and influence.

Responsibilities

  • Deciding what to build
    • Develop a point of view on each health plan you cover: their behavioral health strategy, pain points, internal ownership, and what would drive ambitious commitments.
    • Design solutions from first principles, including economics, deal terms, volume commitments, referral pathways, clinical programs, and risk-sharing. Tailor each solution to the plan’s unique needs.
    • Build the analytical case: size opportunities, model economics, test assumptions, and produce work that withstands scrutiny from health plan strategy and finance teams.
    • Coordinate with Grow’s co-founders, operations, product, engineering, and finance teams to execute partnerships.
  • Structuring and landing it
    • Lead commercial structuring (rate design, exclusivity, volume commitments, performance economics) in direct conversations with health plan executives.
    • Build relationships with senior decision-makers at health plans to enable ambitious agreements.
    • Collaborate with Grow’s operations, product, clinical, and finance teams to align novel structures with deliverable outcomes.
  • Owning what it produces
    • Track partnership performance post-launch, diagnose issues, and adjust structures using relationships with health plan leaders.
    • Apply in-market learnings to future structures with the same plan and others.
    • Feed insights into Grow’s product roadmap and long-range planning.

Requirements

  • Three to seven years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, or a strategy function at a high-growth company, with a strong performance record.
  • Comfort with unstructured problems; tendency to invest time in problem framing before solving.
  • Commitment to seeing work through to execution and performance in-market.
  • Ability to engage senior executives, build long-term relationships, and construct arguments for sophisticated audiences.
  • Consideration of second-order effects, including how proposals impact health plans’ network, actuarial, and clinical teams, and Grow’s operational commitments.
  • Proactive in building plans rather than waiting for direction.
  • Healthcare experience is helpful but not required.

Pay

The base compensation range for this position is:

  • Hybrid (NYC, San Francisco, or Seattle hub, 3 days/week onsite): $161,000–$215,000 USD annually.
  • Fully remote: $134,000–$179,167 USD annually.

Compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, and location. The role may require travel 2–3 times per year (e.g., company/department offsites).

Benefits

  • Health Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage.
  • Grow for Grow: No-cost access to therapy through the Grow platform (U.S. employees).
  • Financial Wellness: Retirement savings programs and equity opportunities.
  • Time Off: Flexible time off, paid holidays (country-specific), and a company-wide Winter Break.
  • Parental Leave: Up to 18 weeks of paid leave and a new child stipend.
  • Mental Health Mornings/Afternoons: Dedicated weekly flexible time for self-care.
  • Wellness & Development Stipend: Annual stipend for personal wellbeing and professional growth.
  • Commuter Benefits: Pre-tax commuter benefits for hub-based employees.
  • Home Office & Meals: Support for home workspaces and meal benefits (tailored to remote/hub employees).
  • Additional Perks: Wellbeing benefits (e.g., wellness memberships, virtual care), pet insurance discounts (where available), and global travel assistance.
