Commercial Solar Construction Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of roofing components, solar racking systems, and solar panels.
• Direct and manage field employees and installation crews.
• Cook up daily work assignments, staffing levels, and project schedules.
• Maintain project progress and communicate updates, delays, or material needs to company leadership.
• Audit employee hours and required field documentation.
• Review and approve employee vacation and time-off requests while maintaining proper project staffing.
• Enforce company safety procedures and jobsite requirements.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with project plans.
• Cook up coordination with electricians, subcontractors, project managers, customers, and other project stakeholders.
• Help identify and resolve field construction issues.
• Keep an organized, professional, and productive work environment.
• Travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Current General Contractor license in Vanderburgh County, Indiana; or a current General Contractor license elsewhere in the United States with the ability and willingness to obtain the required Vanderburgh County licensure.
• Previous construction supervision, roofing, solar installation, or related field experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage construction employees.
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety and construction practices.
• Ability to organize crews, schedules, materials, and multiple project responsibilities.
• Ability to review employee hours, staffing requirements, and time-off requests.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project locations.
• Ability to work outdoors, access rooftops, climb ladders, and perform the physical duties associated with solar construction.
