Commercial Sheet Metal Installer

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC ductwork, fittings, and sheet metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and project requirements
• Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and mechanical plans
• Measure, layout, assemble, and install duct systems, hangers, supports, and related equipment
• Fabricate sheet metal components as needed using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Cook with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure projects stay on schedule
• Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and make field modifications when necessary
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
• Participate in project planning and continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce material waste

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of commercial sheet metal installation experience
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications
• Experience installing commercial duct systems, including rectangular, spiral, and round ductwork
• Proficient with sheet metal tools, power tools, lifts, and fabrication equipment
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, SMACNA standards, and applicable building codes
• Strong mathematical and layout skills
• Commitment to quality craftsmanship, safety, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, reliability, and professionalism
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• OSHA certification preferred but not required

Pay

$42–$60 per hour DOE
