Commercial Service Technician II

About the role

Under minimal supervision, performs diagnostic and service work on commercial (5+ tons) HVAC equipment and accessories. Communicates with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete satisfaction. Promotes products and services to customers. Works under the direction of the Field Supervisor or General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer concerns in commercial environments.
• Perform service on commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment as well as accessories.
• Perform start-ups on air conditioning as required.
• Deliver and remove equipment needed to complete service work.
• Provide excellent service to commercial customers and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer concerns, questions, or problems effectively.
• Prepare material requisition forms to ensure proper truck stock levels.
• Perform maintenance on equipment, service and/or clean IAQ products, solder, weld, braze, and perform minor field fabrication.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Commercial HVAC license required (Gasfitter 2 or Gasfitter 1 License).
• Refrigeration license (313A License) preferred.
• License in plumbing, electrical work, sheet metal, or refrigeration is an asset.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and experience in the commercial HVAC field.
• Able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various projects.
• Adept at servicing commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as related accessories.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering customer-focused service.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and production diagrams.
• Ability to work overtime and weekend hours as required.
• Must meet the minimum requirements for our background check criteria.
