About the Role
This position involves working with customers on new construction projects, startups, existing facility retrofits, preventative maintenance, and service calls in the HVAC industry.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in HVAC, or an equivalent combination of education (technical school) and experience.
- Mechanical Journeyman status preferred; must follow union qualification process for Journeyman standing.
- Knowledge in all facets of the HVAC industry, including boilers, burners, controls, and psychometrics.
- Universal EPA CFC certification.
- 10-hour OSHA certification (30-hour OSHA is a plus).
- Knowledge of HVAC&R theory, solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and repair skills.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, mechanical layouts, and blueprints.
- Experience installing clean, dry refrigeration piping systems and associated practices.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with handheld devices (e.g., smartphones, iPads).
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers regarding inspection and service findings.
- Travel is required.
