About the role

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a full-time Electrical Service Electrician to join our Service Department. This position offers opportunities to grow and expand your knowledge while adapting to changing codes, regulations, and safety requirements. You will troubleshoot, install control circuits, pull wire, bend pipe, and compute electrical formulas, as well as read and interpret electrical plans, complex circuit schematics, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to jobs as scheduled by coordinator and manager.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues.
  • Maintain a well-stocked, clean, and organized service van with all tools accounted for.
  • Drive the van professionally and courteously.
  • Order materials as required for job completion.
  • Complete daily paperwork and submit as directed by manager.
  • Verify customer satisfaction and obtain signed work orders before leaving the site.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Promote additional services when possible and leave marketing materials with customers.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and managers to improve processes and share knowledge.
  • Support team members to foster positive communication.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency, discuss projects with customers, and complete work promptly.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and maintain dependable attendance.
  • Adhere to the National Electric Code and act as a self-starter.
  • Leave job sites cleaner than when you arrived.
  • Perform other duties or work at other locations as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Valid Journeyman electrical license.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR for the past 7 years.
  • Experience in all aspects of electrical systems, including commercial, industrial, residential, electrical efficiency, fire alarm, lighting control systems, lighting types, heat tape, and familiarity with Xcel Energy and other electrical utility guidelines.
  • Ability to work with other trades and adapt to constant changes.
  • Problem-solving skills and a respectful, courteous demeanor.
  • Professional appearance and ability to operate vehicles and equipment.

Schedule

Full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
