About the Role

Hunt Electric, Inc. is searching for a full-time electrical service electrician to join our team. You will have the opportunity to grow and expand your knowledge in our Service Department, working with various customers to install electrical work, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical problems quickly and efficiently. This position requires adaptability to changing codes, regulations, and safety requirements, along with the ability to troubleshoot, pull wire, bend pipe, and compute electrical formulas. You will install control circuits and other components, read and interpret electrical plans, complex circuit schematics, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to jobs as scheduled by coordinator and manager.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues proficiently.
  • Keep van stocked with materials as directed by the manager.
  • Drive van in a professional and courteous manner; maintain cleanliness, organization, and tool accountability.
  • Order materials required for job completion.
  • Complete and submit daily paperwork as directed by the manager.
  • Verify customer satisfaction and obtain signed work orders before leaving the site.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Promote service opportunities and leave marketing materials with completed projects.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and managers to improve processes and share knowledge.
  • Support team members to foster positive communication and a sense of urgency in completing work.
  • Demonstrate dependability through regular attendance and compliance with scheduled work hours.
  • Apply knowledge of the National Electric Code in all work.
  • Act as a self-starter and perform other duties or work at other locations as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Current Journeyman license (a valid reciprocal state journeyman license will be considered if a state license is obtained within 30 days).
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR for the past 7 years.
  • Experience in all aspects of electrical systems, including commercial, industrial, residential, electrical efficiency, fire alarm, lighting control systems, lighting types, heat tape, and familiarity with Xcel Energy and other electrical utility guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other trades.
  • Flexibility to adapt to constant changes and mobility requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a respectful, courteous demeanor.
  • Commitment to leaving job sites cleaner than when you arrived.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
