Commercial Sales Manager
About the Role
The Commercial Sales Manager owns all operational sales for Thogus—including the account management team, quoting and pricing process, sales forecast, and commercial terms for existing programs. This position reports to the President and is not a hunting role; prospecting is handled by the Director of Business Development. The manager will run the commercial side of an established book of business with discipline, growing it by farming the existing customer base (additional programs, transferred tooling, adjacent SKUs, and volume currently placed elsewhere). Thogus is rebuilding its costing and quoting methodology, and the Commercial Sales Manager is a primary owner of that discipline. Commercial processes must be documented, followed, and reviewed on a defined cadence, rather than being managed transactionally or held in one person’s head.
Why This Role
Thogus, a family‑owned company operating since 1950, offers a short decision‑to‑execution path by reporting directly to the President. The role sits within a group of manufacturing and technical services companies under common family ownership. Strong performance can lead to expanded commercial oversight across multiple plants.
