As part of Tecta America, the largest roof contracting operation in the U.S., we handle projects ranging from large commercial, industrial, and institutional builds to small repairs and services.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to takeoff and estimate project sheet metal and roofing scopes, including waterproofing, roofing, air barrier, sheet metal flashing, architectural sheet metal, louvers, expansion joints, sunshades, metal panels, and metal roofing. This role involves managing project development from initiation to closure, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Takeoff and estimate project sheet metal and roofing scopes
  • Manage project development from initiation to closure, including costs, schedules, safety, and closeout
  • Monitor quality assurance and ensure all project documents are archived
  • Work with clients to outline scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timing
  • Develop, build, and maintain professional relationships with contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and owners
  • Negotiate and manage project costs and budget schedules
  • Prepare submittals, manage design and construction, and compile progress billings
  • Administer change orders and process monthly progress billings
  • Track and report project milestones and provide status updates
  • Communicate clearly with team members and mediate between stakeholders
  • Lead, coach, and motivate project team members
  • Develop tools and best practices for estimating, project management, and contract execution

Requirements

  • Experience in dealing with contracts, subcontractors, and supply vendors
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to coordinate multiple project facets
  • Effective presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project-related software such as Procore and Bluebeam
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial construction activities and business management
  • Working knowledge of state contractor’s license law, legal issues, and safety standards
  • Ability to learn on the job regarding best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Independent, self-starter needing limited direction
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of follow-through
  • Ability to work well under pressure with diplomacy and tact
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Pay

$85,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
