Commercial Roofing Laborer

Today, with more than 80 employees and a management team that has over 100 years of combined experience, JB Roofing is currently searching for Commercial Roofing Laborers at our Akron, OH location.
About the role
Install and repair roofs using commercial roofing systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC, and slope (tile/shingles). Work well in a team setting, perform tasks in extreme weather conditions, lift 50+ lbs with repeated bending, climbing, and kneeling, and be comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft and working on roofs. Perform work to manufacturer's specifications with close attention to safety.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair commercial roofing systems (BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC, tile/shingles)
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Operate in extreme outdoor weather conditions
- Lift 50+ lbs, bend, climb, and kneel repeatedly
- Climb ladders up to 60 ft and work on roofs
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols
Requirements
- 1 year of commercial roofing experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Authorized to work in the United States
Working Conditions
- Field environment with exposure to heights, noise, and temperature extremes
- Extensive standing, walking, and climbing ladders
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
- Local travel required
Pay
Starting at $24+/hr (BOE).
