Commercial Roofing Estimator
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret drone photographs and related documentation of existing commercial roofs to assess current conditions and project scope.
- Estimate the removal of existing commercial roofing systems, including labor, materials, and disposal requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for new commercial roofing installations, with a focus on re-roof projects.
- Select and quantify appropriate roofing materials, with particular emphasis on single-ply systems such as TPO, PVC, and EPDM.
- Use Edge estimating software to develop accurate, itemized estimates and proposals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements and ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.
- Update and revise estimates as needed based on new information, design changes, or client feedback.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, assumptions, and supporting documentation for future reference and project tracking.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial roofing estimation, with a focus on re-roof projects.
- Proficiency with Edge estimating software.
- Hands-on knowledge of commercial roofing systems and materials, particularly single-ply membranes including TPO, PVC, and EPDM.
- Ability to interpret and analyze drone imagery and other visual documentation of roof systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing cost estimates.
- Solid understanding of labor, material, and equipment cost components for commercial roofing projects.
Skills
- Experience working with drone-based roof assessments or similar visual inspection tools.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and standards for commercial roofing and re-roof projects.
- Strong communication skills to explain estimates and project assumptions to internal stakeholders.
- Able to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $120,000.00/yr.
