Responsibilities
- Possess and manage a portfolio of commercial deposit clients, including businesses, their owners and senior executives.
- Prospect, produce, and manage relationships with both direct and referred clients.
- Manage and expand existing commercial deposit relationships, including treasury management and card services products.
- Act as the primary officer and manager for clients, and as the lead sales agent for prospects referred by other relationship managers.
- Refer loan opportunities to the appropriate banker and/or group, and cross-sell and refer treasury management and other bank services and deposit products.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients through outbound calls and personal on-site visits.
- Develop strong professional relationships with internal and external business units, including commercial services, credit, treasury management, legal, and other relevant departments.
- Orchestrate customer and prospect sales calls, focusing on a consultative approach to expand business relationships.
- Prepare and present comprehensive sales proposals to customers and prospects, and manage all elements of the sales cycle.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline within the Bank’s customer relationship management system.
- Stay informed about industry trends and communicate client and prospect needs to Commercial Product Management.
- Represent the bank at local industry conferences and networking events.
- Partner with Treasury Management personnel to ensure new services are established correctly and customer issues are addressed professionally and promptly.
Requirements
- A professional, production goal-driven individual with a passion for generating profitable banking relationships and taking excellent care of clients.
- A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years commercial/private banking/treasury management experience (preferred), or demonstrated sales and service experience in a compatible industry.
- A demonstrated track record of meeting sales goals and a solid understanding of relationship management.
- Proficiency with email, word processing, and spreadsheet/presentation software, with CRM experience being beneficial.
- The ability to travel up to 50% of the time, traveling to markets such as Chicago, Phoenix, Oklahoma City, and Denver.
