Commercial Relationship Manager III - CDL

Responsibilities

• Business Development: Identify and call on appropriate prospects under the direction of a Team Leader.
• Represent Eastern Bank in business and community activities.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to cross-sell other bank products and services to customers and prospects, including Treasury Services, commercial insurance, and deposit products.
• Credit Underwriting: Review existing and new credit facilities, analyze credit quality, and make recommendations to the Team Leader and Credit Committee.
• Work with legal counsel to facilitate the documentation of credit facilities.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor maturing credits, overdue payments, and financial information, and take appropriate action. Ensure timely collection of financial information and proper rating of credit exposure reflecting credit quality over time. Maintain frequent contact with clients and represent Eastern Bank to ensure client needs for deposits, cash management, insurance, and investment management are being met.

Qualifications

• Proven underwriting abilities, including at least 5 years of experience in commercial real estate analysis or commercial banking.
• Formal bank credit training preferred.
• Familiarity with top-tier and middle-market commercial companies within the New England marketplace.
• Energetic and comfortable in an entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the willingness/ability to learn new software as necessary.
