Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Achieves individual annual production and growth goals for loan, deposits, and fees to meet bank targets and maintain credit standards.
- Initiates and develops new business through outside activities and networking.
- Maintains regular contact with clients to enhance their experience with First Interstate Bank.
- Develops a thorough understanding of client needs through financial data analysis and personal meetings.
- Generates leads using internal customer sourcing software, tracks activities, and makes referrals to relevant business partners and bankers.
- Participates in community organizations to find business development opportunities and showcases our commitment to the communities we serve.
- Builds and maintains a referral pipeline by identifying and developing internal and external influencers.
- Keeps abreast of product knowledge and actively promotes bank products and services to clients.
- Works with cross-functional teams to address customer requests and identifies cross-sell opportunities.
- Analyzes creditworthiness to ensure clients can meet borrowing requirements.
- Maintains compliance with bank regulations and follows all policies and procedures.
- Engages in and embodies the First Interstate Bank Mission, Vision, and Values by fulfilling Service Commitments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
- 4-6 years experience in commercial lending, commercial credit underwriting, or a combination of education and experience.
- Advanced credit analysis and commercial underwriting skills, including accounting, financial statement analysis, and cash flow analysis.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, practices, and documentation.
- Demonstrated understanding of the bank's risk-rating system, credit products, and underwriting policies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; PowerPoint experience is beneficial.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, remain adaptable under pressure, and respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts and interpret data.
