Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager - VP
About the role
As a Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager at Associated Bank, you'll play a key role in evaluating, structuring, and managing a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate relationships. You'll combine financial analysis with client partnership to ensure sound lending decisions, healthy portfolios, and long-term relationship success.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite and analyze new loan originations, renewals, modifications, and annual reviews.
- Maintain accurate risk ratings by monitoring loan performance, borrower financials, and market conditions.
- Structure deals that meet client needs while protecting the bank's interests, conducting due diligence, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and regulations.
- Present credit recommendations during loan approval discussions and contribute to portfolio management strategies.
- Identify opportunities to enhance profitability and mitigate risk, and mentor junior portfolio managers.
- Represent Associated Bank at community and industry events to strengthen visibility and build relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate or Credit Approval.
- 4+ years of experience handling complex credit relationships.
- Access to reliable transportation and ability to lawfully drive self by start date.
Preferred
- 3+ years of experience in sales or business development.
- Formal credit training.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification.

Pay
$83,580.00 - $143,280.00 per year*
