Responsibilities
- Managing the preparation and processing of commercial transactions from beginning to end
- Reviewing contracts
- Performing detailed property research
- Preparation of closing documents and due diligence checklists
- Preparation and issuance of title policies and preparation of title objection letters
- Preparation and issuance of loan packages and preparation of closing binders
- Creation of title commitments and policies, settlement statements, and closing disclosure forms
- Ordering and reviewing surveys and inspections
- Reviewing title search reports and examining titles
- Coordinating disbursements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of working experience as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
- Larger commercial law firm experience preferred
- Proficiency with using Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Utilization of closing software and other software applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of internal staff, attorneys and external clients of the Firm
- Ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines
- Ability to work in both an independent and team environment
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and follow through
Education
- Bachelor’s degree and/or ABA Approved Paralegal Certificate
