Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Cook up and maintain legal files for commercial real estate matters, guaranteeing records are precise, comprehensive, and straightforward to locate.
• Prepare, examine, and organize materials for discovery, including document gathering, tracking, and production support.
• Enter, upgrade, and supervise matter data in case management software to keep deadlines, filings, and state information updated.
• Carry out factual and document research to assist the General Counsel in assessing issues, backing strategies, and responding to case developments.
• Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties about scheduling, document requests, and case logistics.

Requirements

• Prior paralegal experience supporting commercial real estate matters.
• Proficiency with case management software and standard legal office technology.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with attorneys, clients, and external parties.
• A high attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in commercial real estate.
• Experience with due diligence reports.
• Ability to draft simple documents (amendments).
• Experience handling closings - from pre-closing to post-closing, all documents, etc.
• Lease administration over current portfolio: dealing with tenants, vendors, consultants, etc.
