About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Commercial Rating Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in rating new, renewal, and endorsement transactions for multiple lines of business and states using various systems. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal direction from the supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Rate new, renewal, and/or endorsement transactions for multiple lines of business and states working in various systems.
  • Issue and process policies and endorsements.
  • Perform all tasks with minimum direction from the supervisor.
  • Review, apply, and interpret rating manuals, statistical plans, ISO bulletins, and processing manuals/bulletins.
  • Assist the supervisor in the more technical areas of training other rater/coders.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner when additional information is needed, ensuring timely issuance.
  • Maintain acceptable productivity levels established by management.
  • Assist with reports, troubleshooting issues, and special projects/initiatives as needed, delivering by deadlines and adjusting work to changing priorities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 5 years of experience working with property/liability rating.
  • 3 years of experience as a Commercial Rater dealing with multiple states and lines of business.
  • Experience working with garage liability is preferred.

This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt (overtime eligible) position.
