Join a growing real estate accounting team as a Property Accountant supporting a portfolio of commercial buildings. This is a newly created direct hire role with strong visibility, balanced hours, and a clear ramp up plan.Key DetailsTitle: Property AccountantLocation: Boston, MA, Financial DistrictSchedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PMWork arrangement: In office daily for the first 6 months, then will shift to hybridPay Range: base salary range of $85,000 - $92,500plus 10 percent annual bonus targetBenefits: Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401k, and moreWhy This Job is Awesome / Your ImpactStep into a newly created seat driven by growth and a new portfolioOwn a portfolio end to end, with meaningful client interaction and internal partnershipJoin a stable team with strong work life balance and clear expectations around deadlines and deliverablesResponsibilitiesOwn month end close and client reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties, consistently meeting deadlinesReview the general ledger and prepare financial statements, variance explanations, and reporting packagesPrepare budgets and forecasts for assigned propertiesComplete bank reconciliations, journal entries, and accrualsManage tenant setup and ongoing maintenance in the property accounting system and maintain strong working knowledge of lease termsPrepare CAM and real estate tax calculations, billings, and monthly tenant billingsSupport cash activity including applying receipts, coordinating cash transfers, and assisting with check runs based on cash positionPrepare annual workpapers, support audits, and respond to internal and external stakeholder inquiries related to reporting and tenantsRequired QualificationsBachelors degree2 to 4 years of commercial and/or industrialreal estate accounting experience.
