Commercial Products Development Manager
About the Role
Develops and/or manages a portfolio of commercial products for an assigned business segment across multiple states and market geographies. Ensures products are positioned to meet SelectHealth membership growth goals and NOI targets, while meeting the highest levels of market need, administrative efficiency, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor key performance indicators for assigned product lines and implement initiatives resulting in positive program outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional teams to produce deliverables and interface with project managers, product teams, operational leads, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
- Serve as the internal product expert, managing day-to-day operations to support the operational needs of the assigned product.
- Evaluate new product opportunities, geographic or service area expansion, new market entry, and potential strategic partnerships to meet growth objectives.
- Introduce new products to market and monitor national carrier and local competitor products, positioning, strategies, networks, and industry trends.
- Identify emerging market trends and utilize customer research and competitive intelligence to ensure optimal product positioning.
- Provide insurance market and product education to internal teams.
- Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and affiliate contracts as applicable.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in health care, health insurance, managed care, employee health benefits management, or self-insured plan administration with progressive and varied responsibilities.
- Experience related to assigned products (e.g., product development, product management, project management, service line management, network development, strategic planning, marketing, and/or business development).
- Understanding of actuarial pricing models, underwriting practices, risk management strategies, adverse selection, provider payment arrangements, multi-channel insurance product distribution, and their impacts on product marketability and performance.
- Experience driving organic growth through product initiatives and recognizing growth opportunities in revenue streams.
- Deep understanding of insurance product analytics and consumer behaviors needed to develop high-performing products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of derivatives, level funding, and/or the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Additional Information
This role may be hired at a different title or level depending on experience. It is an exempt, full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement, potentially requiring travel to areas where SelectHealth conducts business. Candidates who live in or are willing to relocate to Utah, Idaho, Nevada, or Colorado and are within a reasonable commuting distance to a SelectHealth office are preferred.

Pay
The hourly range for this position is $44.99 - $69.44, with actual rates dependent upon experience.
